Which surfaces could be coated with Kaplon?
Any surface that is durable to 420°C heat treatment except unalloyed copper, is applicable with Kaplon.
What should be considered for a long-lasting coating?
Surface preparation and firing processes are highly important during coating. Coating thickness and the correct way of curing of the undercoat is also very important for the coating to be high quality and have a long lifetime.
How is the food safety test conducted?
A food product is cooked on the coating for the “migration” test. Afterwards, a food analysis is conducted, in order to be sure no coating residue is contaminating the food product.
What are the storage conditions and shelf life for Kaplon non-stick coatings?
Kaplon products should be preserved between +5 and +30°C, away from direct sunlight. Even though the products are not used, the remaining products should be stirred at 30 revolutions per minute at least once a month.
How many types of Kaplon are produced?
Kaplon products are produced under three separate main titles; one layered, two layered and three layered coatings. Different subtypes are available based on appliance areas and expected performance.
What kind of technical service do you provide after coating purchases?
The sampling, production, adjustment and application processes of our Kaplon using solution partners are supervised by the Kaplon technical team.
